GRT Gaz is a French natural gas transmission system operator located in Bois-Colombes, Île de France, France. The operated system consists of high- pressure gas pipelines with pressure exceeding 60 bars (6,000 kPa). The pipeline network managed by GRT Gaz covers all of France except the southwest corner.

Firefly automated welding equipment was selected by GRT Gaz to carry out the first in-service automated hot tap welding in France. Firefly’s distributor provided a full range of welding equipment for the project including specially constructed welding habitats.
